With Crypto vs. Fracking, Which One Is Worse?

Cryptocurrency vs. Fracking, which one is worse for the environment? Fracking is the process of blowing up mountain tops to extract materials to make energy, for example. Cryptocurrency mining is the process of overloading computers to crack a code that unlocks nothing but encrypted serial numbers which can be traded in a sort of financial fraud RPG (role playing game). The Chinese government even took a stance against the environmental damage done by crypto mining. That should tell you something.

The process of blowing up mountain tops sounds horrifying. It stands to reason that there should be better ways to extract these materials, or that there are other technological processes which could make our energy production better. However, that notwithstanding, cryptocurrency mining effectively is the process of burying computers in the ground or running them out of rooms while consuming large quantities of energy – often produced by so-called “dirty” processes, like fracking.

Yet the environmentalist types, liberal political figures support the adoption of cryptocurrencies. That means they are forcing the issue. Republican, so-called conservatives on the other hand, have barely opposed this. “Both sides” are in on the scam. That’s the truth. Money laundering doesn’t discriminate based on political affiliation. But you can’t act like cryptocurrency mining is safe.

There has been no study I know of to compare the environmental impact of fracking, to that of cryptocurrency, as it pertains to the value provided to society vs. the negative impact. That negative impact should include environmental concerns as they relate to human thriving, as well as the economic impact of not attempting to find better ways to power our world.

It’s a lack of creativity, at the end of the day, that makes these bubbles.

Then creativity, and bravery, are require to pop them.
